Please consider contributing to this site. This page covers ways to contribute bulk data but any note by email with attachments or links is helpful. The best information is dates and places of birth, marriage and death together with their spouse's name, birthplace and date.

The first way, and quickest, is to provide a link to your research already on-line.  Those we currently have links to are on the LINKS page in the menu on the left.

If you do not have an on-line presence that we can refer to or would like to put your line in the context of this site then the second way is to provide a file of your information for incorporation into the database from which the web site is built.

This database is run using the latest version of The Master Genealogist. (TMG).  Any data submitted will be merged with the database and will output in the form seen on the site to maintain a uniform way of presenting and linking the data.

A common way is to send a GEDCOM, but these do not handle all the data one might have and other metods may be possible.

TMG offers direct import, using GenBridge™ technology, from many current genealogy programs. If at all possible, export your data using this method rather than exporting to a GEDCOM file. The result is almost always far superior, resulting in much less data loss and less cleanup after import. Because of the limitations of the GEDCOM specification itself, as well as the widely varying interpretation in implementing it by various programs, much information may be lost using that method. Therefore it should always be the last choice method, used only when no alternative exists but don't let that stop you contributing!
